Overview
In locations with a lot of dust and water, the Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Heavy Duty Series switches provide expanded features similar to the Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Rugged Series. Fast Ethernet (D-coded) or Gigabit Ethernet (X-coded) M12 interfaces are offered on these switches in 8, 16, or 24 ports. The switches can be mounted on the wall and used without the need for a housing cabinet. Cisco IOS® XE, a next-generation operating system with built-in security and trust, powers the IE3400 Heavy Duty Series switches, which includes Secure Boot, image signing, and the Cisco Trust Anchor module. API-driven setup is also available in Cisco IOS XE, thanks to open APIs and data models.
